How long have you lived in London?

Since 2002 when I was a naïve graduate coming from a small village in Oxfordshire to work in the world of TV. So, 12 years….

What makes someone a Londoner?

When you forget to appreciate the city. It’s so easy once you’ve lived here for a while to take it all for granted. It’s nice to remember to look up, discover and just take it all in sometimes.

North London or South London?

I’ve always been North. So many friends I know however are slowly migrating South and that worries me I may be heading that way.  It just seems, so far…

Favorite thing about living in London?

Having pretty much the best of anything and everything within 45 minutes of my doorstep.

Least favorite thing about living in London?

I would say the cost of living but that’s too obvious! Probably the pace. Sometimes it’s just all too much, but that may be to do with my age!

Favorite spot to grab a drink?

69 Colebrook Row in Angel. It’s possibly the smallest bar in London but I love that, it’s quite unsuspecting and they have the most skilled mixologists. I also love bar Nightjar in Old Street. You can tell I like a cocktail or two…

Favorite spot to grab a bite?

Probably Shoreditch or Upper Street. You’re spoilt for choice of places and we constantly rotate our favourites around here depending on the mood. There’s no shortage of new places to try, but we’re pretty lazy and mostly stick to our tried and tested, so Hawksmoor in Spitalfields is right up there for me.  The best Steak in London.

Taxi, Tube, Bus, Bike or Walk?

Taxis are a wonderful luxury, and sometimes a godsend, but I actually don’t mind the Overground. The idea of cycling around the city petrifies me but I wish it didn’t.

Where do you go to get away from the city?

We usually only have time to escape to our parents which luckily are both about an hour from us in Oxford and St Albans. It’s certainly nice to be able to breathe in some fresh, clean air every now and then.
